Radiant Magazine was founded in 2018 by Claire Donovan, after she realized the wellness and faith content aimed at young Catholic women was either too sanitized to be useful or too cynical to be honest. The magazine lives in the space between — honest writing about prayer, rest, anxiety, work, culture, and all the things that make up an actual woman's life.
We publish writing we'd want to read ourselves. That means specific, unguarded, careful, and occasionally funny. No platitudes. No Instagram-bible-verse aesthetic. No gatekeeping about who counts as "a real Catholic woman." Just writing that takes the reader seriously.
Our Mission
To serve young women navigating faith and modern life with writing that treats them as intelligent adults — not as projects to be fixed, audiences to be converted, or aesthetic muses to be photographed. We cover wellness as more than self-care, culture as more than entertainment, and faith as more than performance.

Editorial Standards
We take the writing seriously. That means fact-checked claims, cited sources, original voice, and zero AI-generated articles. Our full process is documented in our editorial policy.
Our Values
- Honesty over polish. We'd rather publish one messy true thing than ten tidy half-truths.
- Specificity over generality. "My screen time dropped 60 percent in six months" beats "try less screen time" every day.
- Nuance over dogma. Faith is big. Scripture is complex. Women are intelligent. We respect all three.
- Rest as resistance. We believe burnout is not a virtue, and saying no is sometimes the holiest thing a woman can do.
- Community over performance. We're trying to build real connection, not a brand.
