Rose Rea is the founder of Radiant and Valiant magazines. After graduating from Fransciscan University in 2005 with a communications TV/Radio degree, she went on to work for numerous regional and national publications. The creation of Radiant and Valiant were fueled by Rose’s need to share the Catholic faith in an exciting and beautiful way through the media she loves most, magazines.

Heather Samson: Marketing Specialist & Online Media Editor

Heather Samson is the Marketing Specialist and Online Editor of Radiant. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2013, and is passionate about developing meaningful relationships, exploring new ideas, and sharing the Catholic faith through new and relevant ways. With inspiration from St. Therese de Liseiuex and her "little way", Heather aspires to make a difference each day, and to show God's love through even the smallest of actions.

Brittany Makely: Editor

Brittany Makely is the editor of Radiant and Valiant. After graduating from North Carolina State University with degrees in Economics and Public Policy, she worked as a research associate, lobbyist, editor, and radio producer for a nonprofit dedicated to the preservation of the family. Her love of truth, goodness and beauty motivates Brittany to seek out relationships and projects that will strengthen her own faith, as well as that of the world around her.

Gemma Hawes

Gemma Hawes: Graphic Designer

Gemma Hawes is the graphic designer for Radiant and Valiant Magazine. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2014. While working for a design agency in Atlanta, Gemma had the desire to help spread the truth of the Gospel to young men and women through inspiring articles and beautiful design. She believes that it is important to use the talents that God has given us to inspire our brothers and sisters and bring them closer to the Lord. “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10
